Polar Team Pro records extensive player data and links directly to coach’s iPad

Polar, the most trusted heart rate data provider for elite level clubs and national teams in all major team sports, presents its most advanced team sports coaching solution to date. Polar Team Pro is designed for the demanding needs of fitness, strength and conditioning coaches working in top-tier team sports.

The high-performance Polar Team Pro hardware consists of sensors for all players and a dock enabling quick data transfer and charging. The world’s smallest and lightest all-in-one sensor for team sports weighs only 38 grams, and players do not need to wear any additional vests or belts. The sensor effortlessly combines GPS and motion tracking technology with heart rate, thus providing extensive and most accurate performance data. It even measures speed, distance and acceleration for running-based sports indoors. Live data is captured onto the coach’s iPad (from a 200 meters’ range) without external base stations via Bluetooth Smart.

Polar Team Pro app for iPad provides objective data and analysis on key performance indicators. The coach will get an instant analysis with detailed player statistics and data over the session as well as player comparisons. All this invaluable information helps teams and coaches optimize training and recovery patterns, hit their targets and prevent injuries. Polar Team Pro web service enables deeper analysis of the team’s performance and long-term progress. Results and reports can even be easily shared with coaching staff and team.

To gain an absolute understanding of the players’ 24/7 activity also outside of training, team members can connect their Polar wearables such as M400 and V800 with the Polar Team Pro web service. This will provide interesting information on their daily activity, recovery status and sleep.

Polar Team Pro will be available in May 2015. To get going, the team will need Polar Team Pro hardware (sensors and dock) as well as a yearly license to gain access to the Polar Team Pro app for iPad and web service.
